Lougheed (southwest) is a neighbourhood of Burnaby, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 7,263 living in private households. 60.7% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 24.6%. 36.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 45.1% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $106,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 32.3% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 4.59 km², giving a population density of 1,582 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
