Buckingham Heights (north-northeast) is a neighbourhood of Burnaby, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,636 living in private households. 64.4% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 39.6%. 33.2% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.5% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 41.0% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $130,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 14.8% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 4.22 km², giving a population density of 861 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
