Granville (southwest) is a neighbourhood of Vancouver, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 7,976 living in private households. 47.0% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 14.3%. 50.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.6% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 38.8% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $69,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 67.7% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.20 km², giving a population density of 39,920 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
