West End (west-northwest) is a neighbourhood of Vancouver, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,799 living in private households. 42.0% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Latin American at 8.3%. 55.3% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.7% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 40.3% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $64,500 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 79.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.24 km², giving a population density of 28,212 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
