Handsworth is a neighbourhood of North Vancouver, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,005 living in private households. 29.9% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was West Asian at 10.0%. 69.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.3% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 31.4% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $148,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 16.5% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 2.37 km², giving a population density of 1,691 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
