Kitsilano (northeast) is a neighbourhood of Vancouver, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,200 living in private households. 17.5% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 4.2%. 80.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 25.7% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $79,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 76.7% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.39 km², giving a population density of 10,725 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
