Saint Albans (west) is a neighbourhood of Richmond, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,528 living in private households. 89.7% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 65.9%. 9.8% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.5% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 72.4% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $68,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 26.3% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.33 km², giving a population density of 13,738 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
