Surrey (north) is a neighbourhood of Surrey, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,032 living in private households. 63.6% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 25.1%. 31.9% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 4.6% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 42.4% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $125,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 24.0% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 7.20 km², giving a population density of 421 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
