River Springs (west-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Coquitlam, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,963 living in private households. 57.2% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 30.4%. 39.6% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 52.0% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $76,500 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 19.5% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.44 km², giving a population density of 2,746 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
