Westwood Plateau (south-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Coquitlam, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,886 living in private households. 64.9% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 25.9%. 34.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.7% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 56.6% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $101,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 15.6% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.11 km², giving a population density of 3,500 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
