South Alouette (east) is a neighbourhood of Maple Ridge, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,556 living in private households. 17.9% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 3.6%. 78.6% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.5% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 19.8% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $98,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 18.2% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 3.02 km², giving a population density of 1,840 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
