Cottonwood (west) is a neighbourhood of Maple Ridge, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,498 living in private households. 28.2% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 9.3%. 68.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 26.9% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $101,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 21.6% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.22 km², giving a population density of 2,863 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
