Fleetwood (east 1) is a neighbourhood of Surrey, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,975 living in private households. 76.7% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 25.4%. 21.7% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.6% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 54.6% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $103,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 14.2% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.39 km², giving a population density of 5,034 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
