Maple Ridge is a neighbourhood of Maple Ridge, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 8,487 living in private households. 20.1% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 5.0%. 75.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 4.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 21.8% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $142,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 9.7% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 164.20 km², giving a population density of 52 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
