Census Tract 0003.02 · Vancouver, British Columbia
Sunset (south-southeast) is a neighbourhood of Vancouver, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,519 living in private households. 92.4% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 45.5%. 5.6% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 58.4% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $91,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 52.0% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.12 km², giving a population density of 4,044 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
