Blundell (south 1) is a neighbourhood of Richmond, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,650 living in private households. 77.5% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 58.8%. 20.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 62.5% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $75,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 35.0% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.30 km², giving a population density of 3,568 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
