Downtown Port Coquitlam (south-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Port Coquitlam, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,793 living in private households. 39.9% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Filipino at 8.7%. 57.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.1% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 37.3% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $80,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 22.4% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.29 km², giving a population density of 5,286 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
