Birchland Manor (west-northwest) is a neighbourhood of Port Coquitlam, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 8,345 living in private households. 42.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 11.1%. 54.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.8% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 34.4% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $103,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 25.6% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 3.12 km², giving a population density of 2,672 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
