Lions Gate-Lower Capilano is a neighbourhood of North Vancouver, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 8,572 living in private households. 45.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was West Asian at 24.6%. 53.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.3% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 45.6% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $84,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 32.4% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 3.55 km², giving a population density of 2,412 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
