Lower Lonsdale (southwest) is a neighbourhood of North Vancouver, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,375 living in private households. 33.6% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was West Asian at 10.4%. 63.7% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.7% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 37.9% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $82,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 43.7% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.42 km², giving a population density of 15,103 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
