South Slope (north) is a neighbourhood of Burnaby, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,691 living in private households. 77.9% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 45.5%. 21.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.1% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 57.6% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $82,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 44.2% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.32 km², giving a population density of 4,304 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
