South Slope (south) is a neighbourhood of Burnaby, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,767 living in private households. 72.4% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 33.5%. 26.2% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 51.3% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $102,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 24.8% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.30 km², giving a population density of 2,901 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
