Census Tract 0250.01 · Bowen Island Municipality · Vancouver, British Columbia

The Valley is a neighbourhood of Bowen Island Municipality, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,256 living in private households. 6.6% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 2.0%. 90.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.8% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 22.5% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $111,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 15.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 50.57 km², giving a population density of 84 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
