Uptown (south-southeast 2) is a neighbourhood of White Rock, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 2,938 living in private households. 17.6% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Filipino at 4.5%. 79.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 3.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 31.2% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $56,400 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 39.2% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.32 km², giving a population density of 9,164 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
