Whonnock is a neighbourhood of Maple Ridge, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,592 living in private households. 17.4% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 5.5%. 78.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 4.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 22.7% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $128,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 18.3% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 40.71 km², giving a population density of 162 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
