Birchland Manor (east) is a neighbourhood of Port Coquitlam, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,732 living in private households. 39.3% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 11.7%. 57.8% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.9% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 34.3% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $112,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 19.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 5.90 km², giving a population density of 971 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
