Steveston Village (west-northwest) is a neighbourhood of Richmond, in Metro Vancouver. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,956 living in private households. 44.0% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 54.5% across Metro Vancouver as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 21.6%. 54.8% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 33.7% of the population, compared with 41.8% citywide. Median household income before tax was $97,000 in 2020, compared with $90,000 for Metro Vancouver. 32.0% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.41 km², giving a population density of 3,511 people per square kilometre (Metro Vancouver averages about 879).
